Nagarjuna University, located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, was established in 1976. Though it had started with only 10 post-graduate courses in the University College,it has expanded its horizons to include a wide array of courses. This has been possible by the efforts of its dedicated faculty, an efficient team of supporting staff and high quality student input. The University at present offers post-graduate education in 44 courses.

Acharya Nagarjuna University has started its correspondence courses through the Centre for Distance Education (CDE) to offer UG and PG courses form the academic year 2003-04.
