The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai

Admission to the first year of the 5 year BA BL (Hons) course offered by The Tamilnadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University is based on an entrance test.

Eligibility
  • Educational Qualification: A pass in the Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination with not less than 45% of marks in aggregate and in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, 40% of marks in aggregate

  • Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed 21 years. For candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there is no age limit.

Employed persons are not eligible to apply for the 5 year B.L. Degree courses.

Selection

Selection is on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and communal reservation and special reservations prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Test Pattern

In the Entrance Examination there will be objective type questions on General Knowledge and Aptitude for Legal studies. Model question paper is annexed with the Information Booklet. The test is of 2 hours duration carrying 100 marks and consists of objective type questions (80 marks) and essay writing (20 marks). One fourth marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

Admission and Allotment of the candidates to the above mentioned Law Colleges will be made during the counselling session which is held at The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai.
