Post Certificate Entrance Examination All India Institute of Medical Sciences is an institution of national importance. The Institute awards its own medical degrees and other academic distinctions. The degrees awarded by the institute are recognised by Government of India, Medical Council of India and other bodies for the purpose of employment and further studies. The institute conducts an All India Entrance Examination every year for admission in BSc Nursing Post Certificate course of two years duration. The centre of examination is Delhi only. The eligibility criteria for taking admission in AIIMS B. Sc. Nursing Post Certificate Course is as follows:
Competitive Entrance Examination : The candidates are required to appear at the competitive entrance examination, which is held at Delhi only. Generally, the entrance examination is of one paper containing objective type (multiple choice) questions in the subjects of Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing including Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Obstetric Nursing and Midwifery, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Professional Trends in Nursing. Personal Assessment : Based on the merit list the candidates are invited to AIIMS for personal assessment by the Selection Committee. For more detail refer to prospectus of the institute, when available. The foreign notional candidates are exempted from appearing in the Entrance Examination The foreign national candidates are required to fill in the application form prescribed by the Institute through diplomatic channels.
