(Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

M.B.B.S. is a graduate course in medicine of a year of pre-clinical, three and a half years of para and clinical studies and a year of compulsory rotating internship. The MBBS degree is awarded under affiliation to the TN Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai.


Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. 10+2 or Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study must comprises Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English as compulsory subjects.

2. A candidate for admission to MBBS course “must have secured 60%* marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and passed in English".

* 60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC, 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC, and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates.

Age LimitA candidate must have completed 17 years of age on 31 December of the year of entrance examination.


No. of Attempts

A candidate can appear maximum of 3 time in written test and a maximum of 2 times in interview for MBBS entrance exam of CMC Vellore.
