Laboratory science has been making advances rapidly. Competent Lab technicians with advanced skills and scientific & technical know-how are in demand in all branches of laboratory technology. In order to cater the professional laboratory technicians for hospitals, the CMC, Vellore offers Bachelor of Science degree programme in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc.-M.L.T.). The program is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. The duration of the course is 4 years including 1 year compulsory internship training.

CMC (Christian Medical College) Vellore has the following eligibility criteria for admission into B.Sc.-MLT(Bachelor of Science-Medical Lab Technology) course.

Educational Qualification : A pass in 10+2 examination or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Botany / Zoology.

Age Limit : A candidate must be of 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission.
