The Diploma course in Nursing is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and is awarded by the South India branch of the Board of Nursing Education of the Nurses League of the Christian Medical Association of India. The duration of the course is 3 years. Only single men and women can apply to appear in this entrance examination.

Educational Qualification

Plus two (10 + 2 ) or its equivalent examination securing pass marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (or with Vocational Nursing.) Also, should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two attempts.

Note : Age and marital status exemptions for those who have completed ANM training.

Written test : A written test consisting of common paper is held by Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore

The centre of examination for admission into Diploma in Nursing program of Christian Medical College Vellore is Vellore only.
